Bern City Theater
The Bern City Theater offers a season of over 300 performances in opera / operetta / musical theater and ballet/dance with some 30 new productions. Besides the classics, many premieres and first performances are also shown.
In opera and ballet, the theater works with the Bern Symphony Orchestra. The three stages of Vidmarhallen on the outskirts of the city offer additional performance space and are the ideal setting for more innovative, cutting-edge theater productions.
The extensive program is supplemented with open rehearsals, production previews and special offers such as Musical Theater + Plus (Opera+VIP, Opera in Conversation, Oper+Variationen) or Ballet & Wine, a ballet rehearsal followed by a wine tasting.

For children and youths, the theater's education department offers introductions to plays and works, premiere classes and Christmas packages, the youth drama clubs U12 and U21, annual educational dance theater projects and a dance club.
